Isopropyl Alcohol
Isopropyl alcohol (also known as isopropanol, IPA, and rubbing alcohol) is a solvent which is commonly used for cleaning electronics. Its high alcohol content means it will evaporate quickly and leave a dry workable surface.
Any surface subject to soldering should be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and scrubbed with a toothbrush or other brush. 90% or higher should be used for cleaning.
